Geoff Scott Travel Fellowships

Infection Medical Chambers Partnership has contributed to the attendance of 2 fellows at the prestigious Gordon Conference on Immunology of Fungal Infections in Ventura, California.

The 2 fellows were Sonia Modilevsky an MD-PhD Student from Bar-LLan University, Israel and Gianluca Vascelli, University of Perugia, Italy. The fellowships were administered by a gift to the Fungal Infection Trust of which Geoff Scott was chairman for a decade.

Sonia declared: “I’m very grateful to the Geoff Scott Education Fund for the support that allowed me to attend Immunology of Fungal Infections GRC. It was a great opportunity to present my research, gain insights from experts in the field, and receive valuable feedback that will help me further develop my work. This experience has been incredibly meaningful for me, and I truly appreciate the opportunity.”

Gianluca concurred: “It was an excellent experience, a very welcoming community and very interesting talks and topics. I also received a lot of very useful suggestions for my project from both junior and senior researchers.”
